Help Colleen Rebuild Her Safe Home
Donation protected
Colleen has always been a bright light in the lives of those around her. Despite facing many hardships and traumatic events, she remains positive, funny, and full of love for others—especially stray animals. Her kindness and big heart have touched many, and she never hesitates to help anyone in need, even when her own circumstances are difficult.
Last year, Colleen lost her husband Larry, which has been an incredibly hard loss for her. Recently, after renting her home for about 20 years, Colleen was given just 30 days to move out when the landlord sold the house to their son. With nowhere else to go, she and I turned to our old family cabin as her only option. Unfortunately, the cabin is in rough shape and not safe to live in yet. The most urgent issue is severe mold, which poses a serious health risk, especially given Colleen’s disabilities. She lives with early onset dementia, autism, and post-traumatic stress disorder, making a safe and stable home even more important for her well-being. On top of that, the cabin needs significant structural repairs before it can be a safe and comfortable home.
Right now, it’s just the two of us trying to make this work. We’re doing everything we can, but we need help to cover the costs of mold removal and essential repairs. Any support will go directly toward making the cabin safe so Colleen can have a stable place to live. Your kindness will help give her the security and peace she deserves after so many years of giving to others.
