Help Colleen become a Mama and Adopt

I am a friend of Colleen's (and fellow adoptive Mama) and I am here to ask you to help support her dream of becoming a Mother. Colleen has been approached for the unique opportunity to adopt a baby boy who will be born in August and the costs alone will be at least $40K. We are hoping that this beautiful community can help her raise some money to ease the financial burden and allow her space to soak up this very precious time and focus on the process. 

Colleen lives in San Francisco and her entire career has been with children and babies. She was a birth doula for 4 years, a nanny for 9 years and postpartum day and night doula for 5 years.  Colleen has worked with over 80 families! Colleen has dedicated to being a Mama to other peoples children. She has volunteered with children at an orphanage in Uganda, been a  volunteer counselor in Buffalo at a group home for emotionally disturbed boys between the ages of 8-15 years, she has been a rape and domestic violence counselor for Crisis Services, as well as volunteer at SF General Hospital for women who had no support from family or friends while giving birth. To say that Colleen has opened her heart to others is an understatement. 

The impact, love and nurturing Colleen has put into this world is awe inspiring. The fact that she now has the opportunity to be a Mother herself is a blessing and anyone who knows Colleen knows that this child is in for a life devoted to their growth and nurturing. 

Colleen will be faced with paperwork, quick decision making and additional expenses in addition to alllll the expenses that a new baby brings. Colleen will be the MOST FANTASTIC Mama, and anyone who knows her knows this to be true.
