Peter and Shelley are fundraising for our friends Bev and Colin Campbell, who tragically lost their home and their RV in a house fire in Lumby, BC on August 21st.

They escaped the fire with the clothes on their backs and hope to eventually replace their home in Lumby.

The Campbell’s express gratitude to the Lumby Volunteer Fire Department members and the police officers who were so helpful. One firefighter went in several times to find her purse and found it wet, scorched but intact. Their nephew 's neighbor generously opened up his house for their temporary use. They are also grateful for meals and support from many dear friends and neighbors - they feel ensured that they can get through this.

Any donations will be gratefully received and help them to rebuild their lives and their home. They had insurance but with the cost of inflation it will not be enough to cover the building costs and replacing all of their personal belongings. Also, because they are retirees in their late sixties, they would not qualify for a home mortgage.
