My name is Monica Rhoden ,  I was born and raised in Coker district in the parish of St Elizabeth Jamaica. I’m organizing this fundraiser to help  rebuild my community on behalf of my  community which have all been deeply affected by Hurricane Melissa.  Many lost their roof and access to food and clean water. With roads damaged and phone lines down, it’s been nearly impossible for people to reach out for help.

Hurricane Melissa left so many families without roofs  and access to the every day basis 

Almost 90% homes in Coker has been damaged. Majority roofs are gone, and local supermarkets are closed. Many people are struggling to find food, clean water, and other essentials.

 Funds raised will go directly toward buying food, water, building materials and other necessities for those who need it most. I’ll personally handle all purchases and share proof and updates on everything bought and distributed, so everyone can see exactly where the help is going.

Thankfully, customs fees have been removed on certain goods, which means we’ll be able to stretch every dollar further and provide even more for the community.

Every bit counts and no amount is too small. Your support will make a real difference to the families here who are trying to get through one of the hardest times we’ve ever faced.
