My name is cody, and after seven years with my girlfriend, we recently went our separate ways. Now, I’m a single dad to my 11-year-old son, Jamie, doing my best to keep us both moving forward. Living with disabilities and stage 4 COPD, I’m on a limited disability income, which makes it tough to cover all the basics, let alone the big changes we’re facing.

We have about half a year to find a new place to live—somewhere that won’t break us financially, and where Jamie can have his own room on the same floor as me. That would make things so much easier and safer for both of us. Moving is a real challenge for me because I can’t lift or carry much, and my health is declining. I want to make sure Jamie has stability and a safe place to call home, but I can’t do it alone.
