Hey everyone, Cody here, I’ve decided to work on this project of raising donations and physically building homes in Oaxaca, Mexico because its something I’ve done for a living so I can contribute my skills but also knowing that I’ve given a piece of my life to shelter a family in need seems like something I’ll never regret. I’ve worked as a carpenter, electrician and am currently project managing roof builds in Colorado Springs. The mission of TECHO is simple and contributing to this cause is a beautiful one. With the current goal of 3,000 dollars it will afford to build half of a home. Hopefully we can get to 6,000 and say we collectively built a whole home!
Imagine being able to give a family a safe, dry, and dignified place to call home in Oaxaca, Mexico. I am a part of a team raising funds for a new home for a family in need, and I am thrilled for our donations to go to the incredible organization, TECHO, who is on the ground making this happen.
About TECHO
TECHO is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering communities throughout Latin America by building housing, supporting social development, and working alongside local families to break the cycle of poverty. Their work is community-centered, focusing on collaboration and long-term impact to create sustainable change.
Your Impact: 100% to the Family
Here’s the best part: every dollar you give goes directly to the home-building project for this family. A generous corporate sponsor is covering all other expenses, including payment processing, software, and my travels to the build site. So when you donate, you can be sure that 100% of your contribution reaches TECHO, and 100% of those funds will go straight to the family’s new home. Every penny you give translates to a safe place for a family to rest, grow, and dream.
