Help Cody and Kids After Ariel's Passing
Donation protected
I'm reaching out to the Spokane community and all friends of Cody Sutherland and his beautiful young family! Ariel Sutherland, 33 years old, wife to Cody and mother to four young children passed away on June 5th. Ariel was rushed to the hospital and they found a rare brain complication called AVM (Arteriovenous Malformation). She had brain surgery but they were not able to save her. She was a loving, beautiful, smart young woman who gave her all to her family. Cody, Zoey (8), Ryker (10), Daisy (13) and Cylis (Squish) (15), are completely devastated. Their jobs took them to Lake Stevens, Wa for the last two years. They made a beautiful home there and the kids made many friends. Now, their biggest support of family and friends are in Spokane and Montana and they will be moving back to Spokane. This will be no easy feat as Cody will be out of a job for the time being while he gets everyone settled in. Please wrap your arms around this family and give what you can to ease the pain of this horrific loss.
Here are Cody's thoughts - It’s hard to find the words to say that my beautiful wife, Ariel, passed away unexpectedly. She woke up on a normal Wednesday, harassed awake by my goodbye kisses, saw our children, Squish(Cylis), Daisy, Ryker, and Zoey, off to school and we all went about our day. But that day, our lives changed forever. Ariel had an AVM (arteriovenous malformation) that had ruptured, and despite the doctors doing everything they could, she left us far too soon.
She didn’t suffer, and for that we’re thankful. But the hole she leaves in our hearts is enormous. Just the day before, she had a completely normal day, reading and playing in her Library, tending to her plants, and laughing with our kids. She adored her dog Phoebe who was always by her side and had a deep love for all her animals. She was an incredible mother to Squish, Daisy, Ryker, and Zoey—always making sure they felt seen, loved, and special. And She was a fantastic wife to me, my best friend, my partner in everything, and forever Mrs. Sutherland.
Ariel, you will always be the love of my life, Please keep our family in your thoughts as we learn to live without her.
We love you, Ariel.
Thank you to all who take their time to read, donate, and share.
