On February 5th of this year, long-time Etowah High School coach and teacher Brian Pierson was diagnosed with lung cancer. Coach P fought with all his strength, but a little over a month later, on March 22nd, 2023, he was gone, taken from us far too soon. In addition to the many athletes, students, friends and colleagues who continue to mourn him, Brian left behind a beautiful 8-year-old daughter, Lauren. Brian was a proud father and wanted nothing more than to see his daughter grow, blossom, and pursue her dreams. The money raised through this fundraiser will be deposited in a 529 college plan to help support Lauren, wherever her dreams may take her.
