Help Clisby Replace His Stolen E-Bike
Donation protected
Hello Friends & Family,
We are in need of your help. As many of you know we've moved to Seattle in September as Clisby started school at UW. I'm so proud of how hard he has working to stay on top of school while working both an on campus and off campus job.
Before we moved we knew we would need to go down to one car as Clisby thought it would be better for me to drive to Kent for work, while he biked to school and work. He has really invested a lot into making this happen so much that he spent months researching before he bought own ebike and was fully prepared for the Seattle city life with rain gear, a nice bike lock, and a convertible bike backpack.
Since being in the city, he has been really cautious of making sure to lock up his bike every time he goes out and comes back home. Our apartment even has a bike storage that is secured with a resident only fob access. Unfortunately during finals week before Clisby was heading out to work on a paper, he discovered that his bike had been stolen from the "secure" bike storage. I know he won't make a big deal about it but it was very frustrating and upsetting that our apartment didn't even notify us that the theft had occurred 3 weeks prior!
Unfortunately, due to their failure to notify us, not only are the chances of recovery extremely low but Clisby is still having to pay off a bike that he is no longer in possession of while neither the company nor payment service are able to offer any compensation. Although we did file an insurance claim, it was not enough to cover the cost of the bike.
Therefore we are asking for your help in getting Clisby a new e-bike as it will help him be less reliant on public transportation and give him the ability to get to campus and work on time. We're not asking for a lot but just enough to cover the cost of paying off the old bike and hopefully enough to pay for some of the new bike.
Any amount you’re willing to contribute is so greatly appreciated, and if you aren’t able to contribute money at this time, a share with your friends and family would mean the world to us as well.
Thank you,
-The Wilsons
