Hi, I'm Albany Tripp, owner of Sakura Studio Gallery and the organiser of Boundless Creativity.
On Sunday 19th July 2026, our community came together for the very first Boundless Creativity - a festival created to make creativity accessible, welcoming and affordable for everyone.
Together we celebrated local artists, makers, musicians, performers and community groups through live music, talks, workshops, creative activities, demonstrations and our Young Artists Showcase. Visitors helped create community artworks, discovered new local creatives, and supported charities including Suffolk Sight and the Suffolk Owl Sanctuary.
The response from visitors and participants has been overwhelmingly positive, and many have already asked if Boundless Creativity will return in 2027.
The reality behind the scenes
Creating an event like this comes with significant upfront costs.
I deliberately chose to keep the festival free to attend so it would be accessible to everyone. While we received some fantastic support through donations and fundraising, it wasn't quite enough to cover the full cost of delivering the event.
The remaining costs included:
- Venue and showground hire
- First aid provision
- Equipment hire
- Printing programmes, posters and promotional materials
- Marketing and advertising
- Event supplies and materials
- Other essential event costs
Rather than leave suppliers or contributors unpaid, I covered the remaining balance personally.
That has left me with £1,600 still to pay.
