Help Claire and Her Children Find a Safe Home

Dear Friends,

My name is Linda, and along with my dear friend Deedee, we are raising funds to support our cherished friend, Claire, and her three children. Claire and her family have recently faced an unimaginable crisis and have become homeless. Our goal is to help Claire and her children secure a safe and stable place to live.

Claire, along with her children—Maitreya (17), Malakai (12), and Rowan (8)—have endured immense hardship and trauma. Claire has faced long-term health challenges, including a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis (MS), a condition that affects the central nervous system. MS is an unpredictable and debilitating disease, and Claire’s condition has progressed to a more severe form due to the stress she has experienced over the years. Despite these challenges, Claire remains a beacon of positivity, always giving generously of her time, love, and talents to others. Claire never hesitates to offer assistance and support to other friends whenever she can. Claire and her boys truly deserve to be supported, uplifted, and surrounded by a community that rallies behind them during this challenging time.

Claire has been an artist and herbalist for many years, sharing her knowledge through teaching and creating. She has touched the lives of many with her skills, generosity, and unwavering spirit. However, despite her strength and resilience, the impact of her illness, compounded by ongoing extreme medical struggles for one of her sons, has made it incredibly difficult for her to maintain stable housing.

Recently, Claire and her children had to leave their living space due to safety concerns, including physical, emotional, and mental harm. Since then, they have been without stable housing, living in a constant state of uncertainty. Claire worries for her children, especially the long-term effects of this instability, and hopes for peace and security for her family.

When Claire is well enough, she does what she can to support her children financially, but her illness can be unpredictable, and there are days when she is unable to care for herself or her family. Despite her desire for independence, she has come to realize that she cannot navigate this journey alone.

Fortunately, Claire is searching for a home to provide the stability and safety her family desperately needs. Finding a home will give her and her children a place to heal and rebuild. Claire receives disability income however it is not enough to cover many of the expenses of living with a family. Claire promised her boys that she would find them somewhere that they couldn't be pushed out of. She told them that they would be safe to set their roots down finally.
