This is my husband's story. My husband has been fighting melanoma for going on three years. Many of you know after his immunotherapy last year wasn't successfully working anymore, he went for a long 30-day trial treatment in Pittsburgh. That many of you helped support us to get thru that stay and we thank you!! But soon after getting home, CJ had gotten weaker and his first scans showed the treatment didn't slow anything down. CJ has had his ups and downs with doctors and hospital stays, but medically nothing is helping the tumors slow down. He has become tired and he has made the hard decision of not wanting to do any more trials, doctors, or hospitals. He just wants to be at home, comfortable, and with as much family and friends as possible. He will be put on hospice to help him stay as comfortable as possible.
But unfortunately, financially things are getting tight and harder to take care of, and I have had to take a leave from work as he's needing more help and can't be alone. This time of the year, things are tough for everyone, so we understand if you can't donate, but please, please pray for us and our family.
