Cindy is an immigrant living in our community from Honduras. She is a loving mother to four children, tirelessly working to provide for them. Her life was turned upside down during a routine traffic stop that unexpectedly led to seven months of ICE detention. After such unimaginable circumstances, she was finally released, only to return to an incredibly difficult situation. Because she was detained, she couldn't pay her traffic ticket, which resulted in a court appearance she missed, and a warrant was issued for her arrest. We managed to find her a lawyer and raise the funds to help her pay the court fines required to resolve the situation, but her struggles didn't end there. ICE seized all her documentation, forcing her to spend additional money to obtain copies so she can start working again. All of this turmoil, combined with seven months of missed income, has left her shattered. We are reaching out with hope. Please help us get Cindy back on her feet so she can continue to care for her children and rebuild her life.
This money will be going towards:
