A few updates: Thank you so much to our supporters thus far! If you feel called to share this page with others by text or social media, please do! The funds being raised will go toward property fees, onboarding and investing in the business manager, aesthetic building projects, signage, and inventory planning. For the time being the rooms are rented on Airbnb, we are beginning to gather organically grown herbs to cultivate, and securing suppliers for other high-quality products. Hola Friends, Family, and Community!

My name is Cindi and I moved to Jacó, Costa Rica in February. I am opening an apothecary in the area! It is located in the old Sunny's Hostel and Bowls and Smoothies building in Playa Hermosa, Puntarenas. We are requesting help with funding. We secured funding to get the process of the business started with legal setup and licensing, and we will had more funding kick in during the middle of August to start the build-out of the business. We envision this business to be a true community effort and asset so we are hoping for more donations to enrich its business development to its highest potential!

Once we open the apothecary, we plan to have herbs, herb blends, wildcrafted essential oils, and personal body care, all made by hand and with high quality ingredients. By high season, the hostel rooms will be renovated and utilized by local natural health practitioners who serve the community. The most exciting part of our plan is that we want to be a positive influence in many ways! We want to do this by holding classes and events relating to nutrition and holistic health. We will invite local and international practitioners of varying modalities to hold modules for personal and community learning. We will have children's activities as well! We want to equip and educate the younger generations to thrive through holistic health choices now! Feel free to stop by the building and view the progress we are making! We plan to have a soft opening in August and an official opening in October. Working capital from this GoFundMe will give us cash flow to operate and build the business out until the middle of August.

Again, my name is Cindi and I am a mother and a grandmother. Though I worked in finance and music in my adult life, I have pursued a holistic lifestyle and have done wildcrafting most of my life. I have worked with organic farms in my formal education, finance career, and in my most recent traveling endeavors. As an addition to my formal degrees in music and finances, I hold a Master Herbalist Certificate, an Advanced Master Herbalist Certificate, a Food is Medicine Chef Certificate, Holistic Wellness Counselor Certificate, a Holistic Nutrition Certificate, and I am a Certified Massage Therapist. It is my continued dream to support people in their personal wellbeing, teaching them to care for themselves and others with an integrated sense of stewardship, that it may be a part of healing our world.
