Update: My mom has been detained at Clark county jail for the last four months awaiting a court date, we finally had it Wednesday 7th Jan. 2026, unfortunately we lost our appeal for her Credible fear interview and she will be deported.
When my mom is deported she will have nothing back home, So I come to ask for your help again, but before I do I wanted to thank every donor, My family and I are deeply thankful for every donation you make, no matter how small, it means the world to us, I am raising the goal to help my mom live and find a home back in Honduras.
I'm Deivys Martinez, the eldest son of Ciceli Martinez. To support her fight for freedom from ICE custody, I'm organizing a fundraiser and sharing her story to raise awareness.

Her Story:
In April 2013, Ciceli Martinez, a Honduran mother, made the incredibly difficult decision to leave her family behind, supported by her parents, to escape extreme poverty and violence that posed life-threatening conditions, and provide a better life for herself and her child, opting for a potential future instead of continued peril. Her parents did not survive another 2 years.

Ciceli would arrive in the United States after traveling nearly 2000 miles. She would be processed and released by border patrol and subsequently start a new life in Louisville, Kentucky, where her brother, a US citizen resided. Over the next 12 years, she would raise her child, attend federal court dates, and fight for her future. During this period, she would also give birth to three beautiful children, Valentina, Daniela, and Manuelito, from 2015-2019.

In February 2025, Ciceli’s massive efforts finally paid off, her son became a legal resident, now it was her turn. In June 2025, She was given an opportunity to file for a U-visa, a process which could take many years. Under the current Trump administration where she was under heavy surveillance from ISAP BI inc. and her work authorization was revoked there was still hope.

September 10, 2025. In the early morning hours, Ciceli Martinez kisses her young children goodbye, for what is seemingly just another ordinary day at work. At noon Ciceli Received a call from ISAP, she was to present herself immediately. She hastily left work and made her way to the facility, here she would wait hours for what is usually a fairly quick process, when she was finally called up, She was presented with a signed document, subsequently she was detained by ICE. Her son Deivys kept checking in with Ciceli, he would lose with contact with her until later that night when she called from Clark county jail. She was devastated and indescribably weeping for her children. She has Contacted her son many times and every time She’s been traumatized and distraught.

My mother Ciceli is one of the most genuine people you could ever meet, She has a great care for those around her, and puts the wellbeing of others before her own, it’s in her nature to be Kind, caring and nurturing. My mother is a deeply emotional person, she opens her heart to other’s suffering because that’s the kind of person she is, a friend to everyone.

She has raised three beautiful children, my siblings, Valentina who is 10, Daniela who is eight and Manuelito her youngest son who is 6 years old. Every night she would sleep with them in the same bed, like a momma Cat with her kittens. She has never been separated from her children ever, She can’t be without her kids, The kids can’t be without their Mother, And I can’t be without her. It seems that our family’s life has been stolen, shattered to pieces. This is real and unfortunately this is the kind of world we live in today, where families are separated and destroyed by hate, my mother doesn’t have a criminal record, it was never about getting criminals, it’s a deeply masked hatred for the unprivileged.
Our family would humbly appreciate any generosity to help us bring our mom back and fight this injustice.
