Ciara is a dear friend and deeply loved member of the Florida Queer community. She's so grateful to all of you who have supported her in the past to be able to hire a lawyer when the state was throwing enhancements at her and she was facing 25 yrs to a life sentence. Having a good lawyer fighting for her made all the difference and we expect to have her back in the community in about 2 1/2 years with the sentence her lawyer was able to negotiate. she is still incarcerated unjustly by a deeply unethical system and finds herself in need of solidarity from generous folx like YOU!

She is being transferred from the jail to prison this week and will arrive with nothing. We want very much to be able to provide her with what little amenities and creature comforts can be afforded to her through the corrupt commissary system.

Donating to this campaign will get her food, a set of clothes, and tablet access to help her feel a little less alone, and hopefully, more cared for in this difficult transition.

If you cannot contribute financially, you could really help us out by spreading this GFM as far and wide as you can.

Let's show up and show out for Ciara!

UPDATE-- THANKS TO YOUR OVERWHELMING GENEROSITY WE WERE ABLE TO MEET HER GOAL FOR NECCESITIES IN ONLY A DAY! CIARA AND HER MOTHER SEND SUCH DEEP GRATITUDE AND LOVE TO ALL OF YOU! THEY FEEL SO "BLESSED"! we are going to leave the fundraiser up for a couple more days and any money raised over goal will be put onto her books for future ongoing commissary needs (things like food/snacks, toiletries, socks, stamps, etc). so please keep sharing. Y'all are badass!
