My name is Chryshallis, and I’m raising funds to rebuild my life and be the mom my son, Char’ Shaun, needs. On September 19, 2022, both of us were shot, and I was left paralyzed from the neck down. Since then, I’ve lost custody of Char’ Shaun, who is only four years old and still deeply affected by what happened. Right now, I’m living between nursing homes and hospitals, but the care I’ve received has been neglectful and sometimes abusive. My body is suffering, and I urgently need proper therapy and a surgical treatment that could help me walk again or regain movement in my hands. I want to find a wheelchair-accessible home with at least three bedrooms, so Char’ Shaun can have his own space and my sister can live with us as my aide. She’s been my rock, taking care of my son and never giving up on us, even when things are hard. She keeps me motivated and brings Char’ Shaun to see me, helping me believe that recovery is possible.
