My name is Christina, and I’m reaching out for help so my son Sam and I can avoid becoming homeless. We've been kicked out of the house we had been living in with Sam's dad. We have 24 more days to find a new living situation. We have family back in NH/VT and they have offered to buy us plane tickets but when we get there we will have nowhere to live and very limited funds. I also expect us to have a lapse in healthcare coverage and both of us are on medication that is essential for mental health and seizure control.
My son has experience in construction and will be able to get a job but it might take a little while to get established there. I have been approved for disability due to a seizure disorder from a head injury I received in an attack in 2019 but it takes an unknown amount of time for the monthly payments to begin. As and aside, I will be using the time I would have been working in exchange for money to volunteer for any organization that helps homeless addicts and homeless people in general
so, although I feel uncomfortable asking for money from anyone, mostly because I know there are many people in situations more desperate than this, I don't know what else to do.
I trust God completely in this situation, however it turns out. And thank you so much to the people who have already generously donated money to us.
