Hi, I’m Christina Robinson, a single parent navigating the challenges of medical treatment while juggling life’s responsibilities. This year has been especially hard, as I’ve had to take extended sick leave not once, but twice. I’ve mostly kept my health journey private, but I’ve reached a point where I need a little help to get through this tough time.

Since April 2023, I’ve had three extended sick leaves with 2 major life altering surgeries and this year has been particularly challenging after a near fatal perforated bowel obstruction that left me in hospital for a month. I am currently enrolled in a treatment program with the General Hospital as a day patient and living on reduced income for eight of the last twelve months. As someone who rarely asks for help, this is a big step for me, but I’m finding it hard to keep up with bills on half pay. While I’ve managed to cover most of my expenses, there’s a shortfall I simply can’t bridge alone.

I’m reaching out for minimal support—just enough to get me back on my feet. I’ve set a goal of $3,000 to help cover immediate necessities and catch up on bills. In reality, I am $5,000 in debt, but I believe $3,000 would alleviate the most pressing concerns. If I’m able to reach this goal, it will bring peace of mind as I continue to focus on healing and recovery.
