Help Christie and I Become Parents
Donation protected
Christie and I are attempting to raise money to adopt a child. Fertility issues and a years-long unsuccessful journey down the IVF road have convinced us that private adoption is the right path for us to fulfill our dream to be parents. I work full-time in childcare as an elementary art teacher and also work with Christie to teach young kids Jiu-jitsu in the afternoons. Fostering to adopt in the state of Washington does not currently have a path (except in rare circumstances) to becoming the child's parents as opposed to a long-term guardian who shares visitation rights. That leaves us with private adoption as the option, and private adoption comes at a cost that is beyond our present means. Many private adoption agencies will not work with couples over the age of 40, so that gives us only one year to reach our goal.
If helping out brings you joy, please consider donating.
