Help Christie and Austin Navigate Life After Infant Loss
Donation protected
Sunday, July 21st cemented itself as one of the most heartbreaking days in our families' lives. Around 4:00am Christie and Austin woke to find their sweet baby Houston had passed away due to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.
We only knew Houston for ten weeks, but in those ten weeks he brought so much sunshine, love, and hope to everyone who met him. Known as “the sweetest baby”, Houston was made of cuddles, snuggles, and that perfect baby smell. His big brother Brooks could not have been more proud to love on him and show him off. We can only imagine the amount of trouble and the number of fish those boys would have brought home over the years. There is no doubt that Brooks will carry Houston in his heart and fish enough for the both of them for years to come.
Houston was loved beyond measure by his parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless chosen family members. While nothing can soften this loss, it is comforting to know he was met in the great beyond by his Grandpa Mike and many other loved ones who have left this world before us.
Grief has no timeline, but the world does keep moving. To support this family we are asking for donations to lighten the load of end of life costs, daily bills, back to school for Brooks, and support for Austin and Christie when they’re ready to navigate what the next phase of life holds for them. We all need a helping hand from time to time, and if you’ve ever needed one yourself you know that the Cruz and Weber families are some of the first ones at your door. Let’s take care of our loved ones as they live this great loss and begin to maneuver whats next.
