My name is Leticia, and I am the proud mother of Christian M. Ramirez. My son, at just 31 years old, has shown resilience, determination, and kindness that have inspired everyone around him. He was on the brink of fulfilling his dream to become a Physician (MD or DO) and/or a Nurse Practitioner (NP)., after graduating with honors in public health from Rutgers University and working as a nursing assistant at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital.

But our world was shattered recently when Christian was diagnosed with Spinal Cord Diffuse Midline Glioma, H3K27M mutant, WHO Grade 4, a rare and aggressive form of cancer. This diagnosis has left him paralyzed and has turned his dreams into a fight for survival.

About Christian:

Christian was born on April 26, 1993, in Colombia and immigrated to the United States with hopes of building a bright future. From excelling in high school with honors to graduating college, Christian has always been someone who believed in the power of education and hard work. His dedication to public health and his desire to help others motivated him to pursue a career in medicine.

Christian’s life changed in an instant. Despite this devastating diagnosis, his spirit remains unbroken. He continues to believe there’s a chance to live and holds onto hope for a miracle.

Why We Need Your Help:

As a family, we are doing everything we can to support Christian during this unimaginably difficult time, but we need help. The costs of treatment, medical equipment, and day-to-day care are mounting, and we cannot do this alone.
