My father, Robert James Lamson, a well respected member of the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community— was recently diagnosed with small cell lung cancer that has spread to his other organs. We’re heading to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota for specialized treatment. I’m raising funds to help cover travel, lodging, and basic living costs so I can be by his side and help him through this critical time.
After receiving the diagnosis, our world turned upside down. This form of cancer is aggressive, and we’re doing everything we can to get him the best possible care. That’s why we’re heading to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota—one of the top cancer treatment centers in the world.
But getting there is only part of the struggle. In order to be with him during treatment, help manage appointments, and offer the emotional and physical support he needs, I need help covering basic expenses like:
• Travel and transportation
• Lodging while we’re in Minnesota
• Food and daily essentials
• Missed work while I focus on being there for him
This isn’t easy to ask, but I want to be there with him every step of the way. Your donation—no matter how small—helps make that possible. Even just sharing this page means the world to us.
Thank you for reading, and for standing with us during this incredibly difficult time. Every bit of support brings us closer to hope.
With gratitude,
Christopher Lamson

Update: The rooms were full at the Mayo Clinic so my dad got transferred to the HSHS St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, WI. He is now undergoing chemotherapy and radiation and we are looking forward and hopeful for a better outcome at this time. Thank you to everyone who has helped contribute to our efforts. You are very appreciated!
