At a young age, I got psoriasis behind my ears, so my mother took me to the ER. Dr. Pinkertin at Duncan Regional gave me a steroid shot, and the next morning, I was covered head to toe; even my eyes were caked shut with dead skin crust. I suffered for the next 13 years with that until Humira came around. Which is an expensive biologic shot, and it works great, but the damage is done.
