Help Chris Cover the 2024 Political Conventions

Hi, I’m Chris. You probably know me, or you know my work. I’m a retired journalist looking to get back into the game. I covered the U.S. political conventions in 2004, 2008, and 2016. Then the pandemic. I’d like to cover them again in 2024. But I need your help.

I’ve got a room reserved and credentials waiting. I’ve also got a distinguished writing partner in the person of political columnist Jackson Baker. What I need is funding for travel and lodging.

i’m not going to tell you how important this year’s presidential election is, or that Democracy hangs in the balance. I’m certainly not going to tell you my reporting is crucial to preventing the worst, or even that it matters at all. But if you’re reading this, you likely know me. We probably communicate a lot on social media and in this sort of job, I regard readers/followers as the most valuable resource. I can be responsive to your interests and information and you can experience the protests and pageantry through my words and pictures.

We’ve all got bills to pay and candidates to support, but if you can spare a few bucks to help make this happen, I’d appreciate it.
