My name is Nichol, I am Ronni’s oldest sister. As some of you may know Chris and Ronni are newlyweds of less than a month. Chris has had to endure a major abdominal surgery on Friday. The surgery took over 6 hours to complete, but Chris isn’t out of the woods just yet. As of yesterday they had to place an NG TUBE . To elaborate for those that don’t know the term A nasogastric (NG) tube is a flexible tube inserted through the nose, down the esophagus, and into the stomach. It's used for several purposes, primarily to provide nutrition and hydration when a person is unable to eat or drink adequately on their own. Hes still in the hospital as of now. And He has a very long road to recovery and is going to be out of work for quite some time. As of this morning they had to redo the NG TUBE and put Chris through more pain fully conscious because the tube placement was not effective at the time. I won’t go too much into detail to protect his privacy but I am asking our community, family and friends for help . My sister and new brother deserve to have the support of their loved ones and people closest too them. Ronni is staying in the hospital with Chris for now and is also unable to work. Shes a nurse and staying by his side and advocating for her husband is an absolute must . We’re unsure of when either of them can return to normal hours at this time. They just paid for a beautiful wedding using up all savings and now have fallen into these unforeseen conditions. I know they would greatly appreciate the help and won’t admit they need it, so that being said ; I have started this go fund me in their honor. This isn’t going to be an easy recovery and Chris is not taking it too well. He is a busy man and the main provider for the family and taking his work from him is like taking his legs out from under him. Help me keep them afloat by donating if you can and sharing this for them. I know it’s gonna take a lot for them both to sit still for a while but the fact still remains there is nothing that’s going to speed up Chris’s recovery time than just that. The money raised will go to them and the care Chris needs. It’ll also help ronni be able to be by his side continuously advocating for her husband and for her to be able to afford the back and forth from home to the hospital because as you all know they are still parents and being parents doesnt wait. They live over an hour from the hospital and travel isn’t cheap. Neither is living in a hospital for an unknown amount of time. Thank you all for taking the time to share their story.
