Please Help Chris & His Girls Recover
Donation protected
Hi, I’m JP, and I’m inviting you to please consider this humble fundraiser in support of my dear friend of 20+ yrs Chris Steinmetz, and his two girls Harper (14) and Posie (8)...
“In a nutshell?”
Having just experienced the tragic end of a 25-yr marriage with dignity & grace, Chris is now suddenly faced with an overwhelming $57,865 in related (and necessary) expenses that he simply cannot afford.
However, my $27,800 fundraising goal here is only the most imperative amount immediately needed to help cover his most pressing, related expenses + legal fees + important, associated costs like family therapy.

You can rest assured that 100% of anything you can graciously give will go directly to offsetting the most pressing costs & needs in helping Chris, Harper & Posie to recover as quickly as possible, minimize disruptions to a “normal life”, and just get back on their feet together.
Would you please consider donating to their worthy cause?
“A worthy cause?”
Yes, categorically…
Chris’ marriage was ended not by death, but unexpectedly by divorce. I want to be 100% clear about that.
Even long-standing marriages sometimes end for a spectrum of reasons. But truly, there are few things more difficult in life than when the story of any marriage ends—especially for the children who are inevitably caught in the crushing circumstances between those who mean the most to them in the world...

So, to be clear, the aim of my fundraiser is in no way to “take sides” or “state a case” or anything to do with airing the “dirty laundry” of painful reasons underlying the tragedy of a 25-year marriage ending. There are no “winners” or “losers”—only taking next steps to recovering with honor for everyone involved.
I’ve only ever known Chris to be noble and remarkably kind, with a gentle disposition and an uncommonly steadfast commitment to his girls.
And as his long-time friend, I can clearly see that he’s done everything in his power to provide stability & strength and to shield his two girls from these painful circumstances as much as possible—and done so while navigating the seemingly-nonstop array of financial, family and social pressures that inevitably pile on anyone who goes through something like this.
So, my warm, sincere invitation…
These things are deeply challenging & potentially devastating for everyone involved.
It’s very difficult for Chris to ask for this kind of help. But I asked him if I could, and he hesitantly gave me permission to create & share this fundraiser from my heart on his behalf...
Now that this crushing chapter in their story has concluded, I’m simply hoping to help my friend make ends meet again and get back on his feet quickly—and I’m hoping you might be able to please graciously help him out too.
* If you already know Chris or me personally: Then please rely on what your heart says to you right now based on your personal experiences with him/me/us up to now.
* If you don’t know either of us personally: Then please simply rely on whatever measure of trust & integrity you have for the person who shared this with you.
* Either way: We ultimately believe that God will touch the hearts of exactly the right people to help in exactly the right way. And if you’re able to help (even a little) towards this noble fundraising goal, then we humbly, deeply thank you. ❤️
