On April 7, 2026, our community was shaken by a heartbreaking and senseless act of violence that took the life of Ava Woodcock and her soon-to-be-born daughter, Nevaeh. In the midst of that tragedy, a precious little girl was left behind—2-year-old Chloe.

Chloe lost her mother, sister, her home, and the life she once knew in an instant.

In the face of unimaginable loss, her uncle Gabriel—just 21 years old and recently home from serving in the Marines—didn't hesitate. He stepped up without question and became everything Chloe now needs: her protector, her provider, and her parent.

While our community came together in an incredible way to cover funeral expenses, those funds were used entirely for that purpose. Now, Gabriel and Chloe are beginning a new chapter—one filled with both love and overwhelming responsibility.

At just 21, Gabriel is navigating the sudden reality of raising a toddler. He is working to maintain stable housing, reliable transportation, and all the essentials needed to give Chloe the safe, nurturing life she deserves.
