Help Chinasa Stay and Complete His PhD

We are raising money for Chinasa Iroabughichi Evurulobi. Chinasa is an international PhD student at Illinois State University in English who will be deported if he does not raise $2,400 (update: amount adjusted because he got a loan for some of the amount) by mid-January. Usually, this money is covered by a tuition waiver but due to losing his job for part of the fall 2024 semester, Chinasa has been unfairly charged tuition, even though he was promised funding when accepted to the program. Now, if he does not pay the amount by mid January 2025 he will not be able to continue as a student, his student visa will end, and he will be deported.
