Chevy was diagnosed with Autism at the age of 4. He has struggled with elopement and behaviors, and on numerous occasions, the help of first responders was necessary to ensure Chevy's safety. With those encounters, one thing Chevy noticed is that Officers have training but no resources.
In April 2025, Chevy started collecting donations to assemble Austin Kits for First responders. These kits include: stuffed animal, noise-canceling headphones, sunglasses, communication cards, dry-erase board, numbers, liquid timer, squishes, pop-its, and tips for first responders.
Chevy has successfully assembled 12 bags and donated them to McPherson Sheriff, McPherson PD, and McPherson FD to help with other children who may experience elopement and to help first responders with there encounters.
He would love to continue making these bags to extend out to the other towns in McPherson County.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated!!!
All donations will be withdrawn by myself, and deposited into Chevy's non-profit account and used 100% to purchase items to make the bags and then are donated to local Frist responders. There is a Autism Awareness for First Responders non-profit acct set up where all funds are transferred so that Chevy can purchase the items for the backpacks.
