At 26 years old, Cheri’s life changed in an instant when a severe car accident left her fighting for her life. After weeks in a coma and months of intensive rehabilitation, she found herself locked in her own body from the nose down, caused by a midbrain hemorrhage, and a brain stem stroke. Her life was going to look completely different now.

But nearly 38 years later, Cheri has refused to let her disability define her. Through countless challenges, adventures, and a strong support system, she has discovered that God was working through her story all along.

Luke5Adventures exists to help people experience adventures they might not otherwise be able to experience. Through our Hike of a Lifetime program, volunteers carry and support people with disabilities so they can experience the beauty of the outdoors.
