What was meant to be a special family trip to Jamaica to celebrate his birthday has turned into every family’s worst nightmare.

While visiting Jamaica for the first time in almost a decade, Chef Jason Briscoe was struck by a truck while riding his bicycle, suffering multiple life-threatening injuries. By the grace of God, Jason is currently stable, but he is still facing a long and difficult road ahead.

Jason urgently needs to be airlifted from Jamaica to a hospital in Florida, where he can receive the specialized medical care he needs including surgeries. His recovery will require extensive treatment, rehabilitation, time and care.

Anyone who knows Jason knows that he is passionate about cooking and has built a community online by sharing traditional Jamaican recipes and his love for the culture.

It is heartbreaking that while visiting the place that has inspired so much of what he shares with the world, Jason experienced such a devastating accident.

But Jason is so much more than a chef and content creator. He is a devoted husband, a proud father, and a true family man who absolutely adores his two daughters.
