My name is Chayauna Jackson I am a 28 year old single mother who has been wrongfully accused of abandoning my daughter through the probate division in Berkeley Courthouse.

This woman that I thought was my friend told the courts that I am a transit and homeless and I have never done anything for my daughter with no evidence whatsoever and the courts granted her guardianship of my daughter and she has no blood relation between my daughter and I at all. She filed back in 2020 during the middle of this hectic  pandemic and I was stuck scrambling to find an attorney to represent me.

Only to lose my case and now be in debt $50,000 and no real idea as to when I will see my daughter. The judge told me to take a parenting class to see my daughter and I took 3. Then we come back to court and opposing counsel says that’s not enough and the judge did nothing but say we will leave it in the guardians hands.She has purposely kept my daughter from me and my family her blood …. all this time why would she willingly do anything else now.

She hasn’t changed anything since being granted guardianship. I nor my family have physically seen my daughter since December 20th, 2020. Please help me get my story out to the world. I wouldn’t wish this heart ache on my worse enemy my heart hurts everyday I’m separated from my daughter, I don’t breath the same, I don’t look at life the same, I don’t look at people the same. 

The courts will grant custody of children to anyone who claims to have taken care of them with no proof!

Here we are now in 2021 where I have to again scramble to find another attorney willing to take my case, I will never give up fighting for my daughter back. This money will help me put a payment toward my debt and help with payment toward my case.
