Support Chatham Families After YNOT Accident
Donation protected
On April 28, 2025, there was an accident at the children's after-school program, YNOT, in Chatham, Illinois. Four students were killed in the incident. Several other people were injured as well.
We are collecting money to help these families.
All donations will go towards families affected for funeral services, medical bills, and other expenses as needed. Glenwood High School's Student Council thanks you for your help in supporting the families of these victims while they go through this unimaginable heartbreaking time.
If you cannot donate through the GoFundMe, you can donate directly to our account at any UCB Bank location. Please let them know you are donating to the Glenwood High School Student Council YNOT fund.
You can also drop off checks and cash to Office 1 at Glenwood High School. At this time, make checks out to GHS Student Council. In the notes section, please write YNOT Fund. All cash should be placed in an envelope labeled YNOT Fund and dropped off in Office 1 as well.

The Ball-Chatham School District has connected a specified bank account to withdraw donations. Only the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Assistant to the CFO of BCSD #5 are authorized to handle and distribute funds, in accordance with Illinois State Board policy and GAAP accounting standards.
A dedicated committee of administration and Student Council members will review needs and determine who and how funds will be spent and disbursed. Donations will be used for cash assistance and essential supplies for affected families. All funds will be fully distributed within six months to ensure timely support for those impacted.
Amanda Power is not a beneficiary as stated on this GoFundMe page. She is the advisor to the GHS Student Council. When added as a co-organizer, the GoFundMe website has listed her as 'beneficiary' though monies and funds will not be transferred to Amanda Power.
