The Ball-Chatham School District has connected a specified bank account to withdraw donations. Only the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the school board and Assistant to the CFO are authorized to handle and distribute funds, in accordance with Illinois State Board policy and GAAP accounting standards.
A dedicated committee of administration and Student Council members will review needs and determine who and how funds will be spent and disbursed. Donations will be used for cash assistance and essential supplies for affected families. All funds will be fully distributed within six months to ensure timely support for those impacted.
Amanda Power is not a beneficiary as stated. She is the advisor to the Student Council. When added as a co-organizer, the GoFundMe website has listed her this way. Monies and funds will not be transferred to Amanda Power.
