Dear Community,

My name is Charmaine Holland, and I serve as a spiritual mentor and chaplain for women in prison. This calling was placed on my heart years ago, and every day i realize how deeply needed it is.

Many of the women I serve have lived through trauma, abandonment, addiction, and abuse. By the time they arrive behind bars, they feel discarded by the world and even by God. But I have the privilege of reminding them that they are not forgotten, not forsaken, and never beyond the reach of grace.

Through weekly spiritual mentoring, prayer circles, and one-on-one counseling, I help women find healing, self-worth, and a renewed relationship with God. I walk alongside them through their pain and transformation, and I witness miracles—quiet, courageous, and real—every day.

Let me tell you about Tasha. When I first met her, she had stopped speaking to everyone. She's been incarcerated for several years waiting on trail and doesn't believe she deserves love or forgiveness. Over time, through prayer and my consistence presence, Today she began to open up by leading the healing circle in her unit and writes letters of encouragement to other inmates. She told me, “You reminded me that I still have a soul—and that I matter.”

These are the stories that keep me going—but I can't do this alone.
