Help Charolette After Devastating Fire

Donation protected
David and Charolette Breland built their home and life together on a cherished plot of land since 1976, creating a legacy of love, hard work, and family. Over the years, they raised their children, nurtured a flourishing garden, and filled their garage with David’s award-winning classic cars and treasured tools. When David passed away in 2020, his life's work remained as a symbol of his dedication and the life he built with Charolette.

On May 26, 2025, tragedy struck when a devastating fire consumed their garage, erasing David’s legacy in an instant. The fire destroyed not only irreplaceable belongings but also took down the power line, leaving Charolette—now elderly and living alone—without electricity or water. The loss is overwhelming, especially as Charolette was left uninsured after the California wildfires near her home in 2021. She now faces the heartbreaking reality of losing a part of her husband all over again, while struggling to meet her most basic needs.

Charolette has remained positive despite these challenges, but her immediate needs are urgent. She requires help to pay for a new power line, a clean-up crew, and basic necessities like food, water, and bills related to the disaster. While the physical remnants of David’s life’s work may never be recovered, Charolette remains safe, and for that, we are grateful. But watching a core piece of your home vanish in an instant is an unimaginable hardship—one that no one should have to endure alone. Please consider helping Charolette as she takes the difficult steps toward rebuilding. With your kindness, we can give her the support she needs to restore her home and find solace in the midst of loss. As some of her family rally from afar and some by her side, we hope this fundraiser will remind Charolette of the love and kindness that still exists in the world. Your support will help her regain stability, alleviate her stress, and allow her to continue mourning her husband with dignity, knowing she is not alone.
