Help Charlie Ride: Support for His Adapted Trike
Donation protected
For those of you who don’t know Charlie’s story, he was born with a chromosomal abnormality and 5 drugs in his system. I started fostering him at age 6 and legally adopted him when he was 9. Since then, through momma’s love and the love of all the people who have worked with him, he’s overcome tremendous obstacles and is now living his best life. Because of his mobility issues however, he’s very nervous and afraid to take his feet off the ground and get on anything that moves. But this year his physical therapist and team got him to try riding an adapted trike and he LOVES it! It’s great exercise, confidence building, and brings him great joy. His team and I and Charlie himself agree he would benefit from a trike like this at home. Unfortunately, they are very expensive. An adapted trike with a specialized trunk support, front guide bar, helmet, and sales tax is $4100. It will last his lifetime. I am asking for your assistance in bringing joy and a sense of independence to this boy who so deserves it. We thank you in advance for any contribution you make. With love, Charlie and Alison.
