Charlene’s story is one of incredible strength and resilience. She has been suffering from AIDS since the age of 8, and by 14, she was on her own. Despite having only one working lung and facing homelessness, Charlene continues to fight every day for a better life.

I met Charlene through my community, and she amazed us all by winning my Hanging bar challenge—hanging for 2 minutes and 38 seconds! Her determination and spirit are truly inspiring. Even though she faces daily challenges, Charlene never gives up and always finds ways to show her courage. She is a reminder to all of us that hope and perseverance can shine through even the toughest circumstances.
