My name is Tim Chernetskiy.

For the past 15 years, I’ve been serving in the remote mountain regions of Guatemala, helping build not just aid—long-term, sustainable change.

It all started when I was 15 years old on my first mission trip. What I saw—families struggling to survive, children without food or care—stayed with me. I knew I couldn’t just walk away.

So I didn’t.

What We’ve Built So Far

Over the last 15 years, together with an incredible team, we’ve:

• Built 6 community centers and churches

• Created safe environments for children and families

• Helped launch local jobs and small businesses

• Established ongoing support systems that are still running today

These centers continue to serve as anchors of hope, stability, and growth in communities that had none.

In these mountain regions (“Las Lomas”):

• Many families still lack clean water and consistent food

• Job scarcity pushes men toward dangerous alternatives

• Women and children remain vulnerable

• Kids grow up in cycles of poverty with limited opportunity

We’ve already secured 2 new plots of land in high-need areas.

Now we’re ready to build 2 new community centers that will provide:

• Food and essential resources

• Children’s programs and safe spaces

• Church and community gatherings

• Pathways to work, stability, and growth

I’ll be on the ground in Guatemala for 2 months, leading:

• Construction of both centers

• Community outreach and events

• Kids ministry programs

• Hands-on support and development
