For 2 years, Champs Chance has saved the lives of over 300 dogs. The ability to continue to save lives is at risk.
As many of you may know, we have been facing zoning issues for the past few months, being in a rural residential area. We have had our meeting with the magistrate to decide the fate of the rescue. He gave us 10 days to file a brief with an attorney, file for a special exemption, and 45 days before making a final decision. We are terrified, as we have currently 40 dogs on property who depend on us! This is their home, and the only real love and safety they’ve ever known. We want to continue to save lives and be an asset to Gadsden County by continuing to help their animals.
In order to this, we most likely are going to need to move. As of right now, we do not have the funding to do this. If the magistrate rules that we must cease and desist, the rescue will have to shut down. We can not do this without your help. We need to start raising money now. These dogs need people who will be their voice and fight for them. Please help the rescue move!!
