Fairford is a special place - a small, historic town with a strong community and a character that generations of residents have worked hard to protect.

Now it is facing plans for more than 1,300 new homes, including a major 1,141-home development north-east of the town. Growth on this scale could fundamentally change Fairford, placing enormous pressure on our roads, schools, healthcare, water and sewage infrastructure.

We’re not opposed to new homes or to Fairford growing. But change on this scale needs to be carefully considered, properly evidenced and supported by the infrastructure our community needs.

We’re raising funds to bring in independent planning, transport and infrastructure experts to scrutinise the proposals and give Fairford the strongest possible voice while there is still time to influence the outcome.

Once development on this scale is approved, there is no going back.

This is our opportunity to make sure Fairford’s future is shaped thoughtfully - for the people who live here today and the generations who will call it home tomorrow.

Every contribution, however small, will help us build a credible, evidence-based case for Fairford.
