Help Chad Muska Build Lorain's Dream Skatepark

Donation protected
Hello all!

This is Chad Muska and I have set up this page in order to help raise the remaining funds needed to build a new skatepark in the City of Lorain.

100% of the money collected here will go straight towards the associated costs of building the new skatepark.

We are currently in the end stages of the design phase. With the help of the local community and a selected group of individuals that represent the various styles of skateboarding, BMX, and all other roller sports included, we have come up with an exciting design that will help to ensure the future of all these activities within the community.

This project is very dear to my heart because this is the city I was born in. The park site location is scheduled to be built in Longfellow Park. My grandmother lived across the street from the park, and I have many fond memories from my youth of riding my bike around it and running the bases of the field until I tired.

This would be a full-circle moment in my life to see this skatepark built here. This is where I am from, and after recently moving back to Ohio, this opportunity came up, and the city asked me to be involved. I am just a small part of making this dream a reality, though. The local community has been advocating for many years to make this happen, and I just came in to help make their dream a reality too.

I cannot emphasize more the importance of a local skatepark and what it can do for both the youth and older riders alike. This will be a place where kids can get outside, off their phones, and enjoy a physical activity that brings all walks of life together in a safe environment where they can practice and perfect their skills; maybe even one day produce the next world-famous skateboarder or Olympic champion.

The designs we have chosen will be architecturally stimulating to non-riders and will also include viewing areas where the local community can stop by and watch the amazing show that these activities offer while strolling through the park.

A great skatepark design will also bring in surrounding communities to ride and enjoy the entire City of Lorain with all its restaurants, festivals, and new growth in the downtown areas.

This will be a place where there can be contests thrown, lessons taught, and offer a location where the top professionals can stop by on their tours to do demonstrations and bring even more attention and use from communities even further away.

I have personally raised $20,000 so far for this cause, and the city has allocated a large portion of the funding, but we will still need the help of you and the entire roller sports community in order to make this collective dream a reality.

I ask you to give anything you can to help; nothing is too small or too large. I set a goal of $50,000 to start, but the reality is we will need much more in order to make this the best it can be. Also, we have designed the park in such a way that we will be able to build in phases if we are super successful in fundraising.

The initial phase will be an amazing start, and honestly, I will be 100% happy to just have that part built, but it can be turned into much more if we secure more funds than we need for phase one.

I thank you for your time and interest in this project. With all your help, this dream will become a reality!
