Help Celeste Spina Rebuild Her Life

***Update: May 15, 2025***
A message from Celeste:
Hi everyone. It’s Celeste.
I wanted to extend my very deepest gratitude to every single person who donated to this campaign. I was able to survive a season that many may not have, directly because of your support.
A little background on my situation. One year ago, weeks after filing for a divorce, I was unjustly removed from my home and lost custody of my children temporarily.
I spent 10 months fighting false allegations in court, and thankfully the truth prevailed. Getting to this point has put me on the verge of bankruptcy. My credit cards are maxed, and I have very little wiggle room, but the upside is I am now protected by a permanent domestic violence restraining order from the abuse that I had endured for far too long.
To get through these difficult times I have been teaching drum lessons, completed a training in peer support and I am writing a new record. My plan is to train as a paralegal, combine my peer training and my legal experience to help other women who are dealing with post separation abuse.
I am still unable to obtain all of my assets and musical equipment from our family home; I am still being denied access to what is rightfully mine to intentionally exhaust me financially.
Moving forward, I will be doing everything I can to help others that in similar situations, which are actually horrifyingly common.
Thank you again for the bottom of my heart, I look forward to future years where I will not have to rely so heavily on others to survive and can pay all of this forward. My life was stolen from me and it can only get better from here.
So much love and gratitude, looking forward to being back on stage June 7 in San Diego!
Love love love you all!

***Update*** January 2025:
Thanks to the primary push of this fundraiser, Celeste is nesting in a new home. While rebuilding a life for her + her children, she is completing training for a new career path. Celeste is working additional gigs in event production + catering and is working on brilliant new music projects!
Despite ongoing attempts to resolve this separation amicably and in a normal format, resolution for her earned assets have become more convoluted than ever. Celeste has been forced to take on considerable debt while exhausting savings to pay for growing legal fees.
Regrettably, Celeste is having to sell items that should belong to her children. Including but not limited to the first little hurricane drum set:
We are asking for an additional push to help Celeste survive these trying times. While she is an absolute badass with an incredible work ethic, the cost of the situation continues to increase and the hole deepens. Please help a fellow mother, musician, best friend and amazing human today! We love and appreciate you SO MUCH.

August 2024::: We are Michael Halloran and Jennafer Grace; a pair of creatives rooted in San Diego. We are fundraising on behalf of our long time friend and soul sister, Celeste Spina.
Celeste is an amazing mother, musician, healer and creative force in many communities.
Celeste is going through a challenging divorce and has been displaced from her home with limited access to her earned income. During this time she has been using credit cards to take care of her children and herself. While house sitting, staying with friends and searching for a new place: Celeste has been parenting, working a new job, and navigating the family legal system.
Celeste has always been a hard worker and industrious, successful person. To see her without basic needs or access to her own home and assets- is awful. This has been a traumatizing experience for her and the children, and Celeste has been the definition of strength throughout.
Let's help Celeste create a safe and steady new life for her family!
She has confirmed a new home for her and the children, will need move-in funds and furniture as well as basic living expenses. She is securing more work and simply needs to get ahead of the debt and emotional trauma that she has been experiencing the last several months.
