Hello everyone,

Cecelia has an opportunity that we have been waiting for since she was three. She has the opportunity to get a service dog!

This is an exciting time as her mother and I have been going back and forth with the group, Capable Canines, for over 8 years.

This dog will provide Cecelia with the needed care she requires on a day to day, hour to hour basis. Raska, will be able to comfort her when she feels upset, help pick up dropped items, brace for falls, and guide her to safe places. We are so excided to gain a new family member, and Cecelia is excited to meet him!

Cecelia was born with a rare condition, Septo Optic Dysplasia. This means her optic nerves are underdeveloped and, thus, is completely blind. Not only that, but she has some autistic tendencies in which she needs extra stimulation quite regularly. We believe that Raska is the key to her happiness and well being. He will be an extremely beneficial service animal until Cecelia can get a seeing eye dog (which they don't train until the person is independent).

Please help us meet Cecelia's goal which provided the necessary training to create this wonderful opportunity for Cecelia.
