Late last week, a powerful typhoon struck Cebu and surrounding provinces, leaving a trail of destruction across northern and central parts of the island.

Entire communities have been devastated — homes torn apart, roads flooded, and families displaced overnight. As of now, many are struggling without access to food, clean water, or shelter.

We are raising funds to provide urgent relief for those most affected, especially in remote areas where help has yet to reach. Your donations will go toward:

• Food supplies (rice, canned goods, ready-to-eat meals)

• Clean drinking water

• Basic daily necessities (hygiene essentials and shelter materials)

My connection to the cause:

I am originally from the Philippines but now live in Finland. Though I’m not from Cebu, I am from Bohol — a fellow Bisaya — and my heart breaks for everyone affected by this recent typhoon. Seeing the devastation and hearing stories from survivors inspired me to take action — to help ensure that families, especially in hard-to-reach areas, receive the food and clean water they urgently need.

How the funds will be used:

All proceeds will be sent directly to the Philippine Red Cross via bank transfer/remittance. They will use the funds to purchase and distribute food, water, and other essentials to affected communities.
