Hi, I’m Cayden Jones, and I’m raising funds for an incredible opportunity to travel to Tanzania with the Montana Futbol Foundation. The Montana Tanzania Exchange is a unique program combining soccer, community service, cultural exchange, and education, designed to broaden the perspectives of local youth athletes through immersion in Tanzanian culture.
During our 2-week stay in Arusha, I’ll be volunteering alongside my teammates and coaches at the New Vision School and Sports Club, which serves over 200 students aged 6-26. These students face extreme poverty and are at risk of gang recruitment. Their mission includes:
- Improving the school’s soccer field with a focus on sustainability
- Hosting clinics on coaching, refereeing, fitness, and sports medicine
- Leading educational sessions to foster collaborative problem-solving skills
