Catta Croland has called the United States home for over 35 years, building a life filled with hard work, friendship, and a deep love for horses. After losing her husband to cancer several years ago, Catta faced the additional challenge of living with Parkinson’s Disease. The progression of her illness forced her to retire from her job as an office clerk in a dentist’s office and sell her house and many of her belongings. Despite these hardships, Catta has remained resilient, supported by a small circle of friends who have helped with transportation, food, and emotional encouragement.
Now, Catta’s condition has worsened, and she has made the difficult decision to return to her native Sweden, where her mother and sister will do their best to support her. The move is urgent—she has already given notice to her senior living community and plans to leave in early January 2026. However, Catta’s financial resources are extremely limited. Her Social Security benefits do not cover her basic living expenses, and it is uncertain whether she will continue to receive assistance like SNAP. The costs of moving and purchasing a one-way ticket to Sweden are overwhelming for her.
This fundraiser is dedicated to helping Catta cover the essential expenses of her relocation. Every contribution will go directly toward her moving costs and travel, ensuring she can make this transition safely and with dignity. Your support will help Catta reunite with her family and begin a new chapter surrounded by loved ones.
