Help Cathy Support Her AutisticNiece After Losing Her Sister
Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and compassionate supporters,
We are reaching out on behalf of our dear friend Cathy, who is navigating an overwhelming and heartbreaking time with courage and love.
Cathy’s beloved sister Suzie recently passed away after suffering a sudden brain aneurysm. Alongside the devastating grief of losing her sister, Cathy has now become the sole legal guardian and caregiver for Suzie’s 29-year-old daughter, Sierra.
Sierra is an incredible individual with autism who requires 24/7 care. While she is 29, Sierra functions emotionally and mentally at the level of a 4-year-old, needing constant support and stability. Cathy has moved into Suzie’s home in Bellingham to care for Sierra full-time, providing the love and structure Sierra needs in the face of this life-changing loss.
Cathy has taken on these immense responsibilities with grace, but the financial and emotional strain is staggering. She needs help to ensure Sierra receives the care and support she deserves. The funds raised will help cover:
• Professional respite care and additional support for Sierra
• Household expenses as Cathy transitions into her new caregiving role
• Future care and specialized resources for Sierra’s needs
• Costs associated with Suzie’s passing, including legal and medical matters
Cathy has dedicated her life to her family and friends, and now she needs our support.
Every donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in helping Cathy provide Sierra with the care, comfort, and stability she needs in this incredibly difficult time.
If you cannot donate, please consider sharing this campaign with your network or volunteering your time if you are local to Bellingham, Blaine or Vancouver.
Together, we can ensure Cathy and Sierra are not alone as they face this new reality.
Thank you for your generosity, kindness, and prayers and to those that have already shared their time and resources with Cathy and Sierra.
With gratitude,
