Cassie first spotted the fire from her office window, watching in disbelief as it spread rapidly. With growing concern, she rushed to her apartment to save her beloved dog, Simon. Upon arrival, she was met with chaos—mandatory evacuation orders, closed roads, and reports of residents abandoning their vehicles to escape on foot. With no time to gather her belongings, Cassie grabbed Simon and fled.

Just hours later, she sat in shock at a friend’s house, watching live news footage of the fire engulfing her apartment and reducing it to rubble.

Cassie lost everything overnight.

She is now faced with the unimaginable task of rebuilding her life from the ground up, grappling with the immense financial burden of such a tragedy without the safety net of fire insurance.
